AMS schedule

Hi AMS,

Are you guys going to be coming to Nor-Cal anytime soon? Say Sacramento-ish area? From what I've read, I don't want anyone else tuning my EVO. Thanks.

EDIT: And I've already asked this in the thread that I dug up but are you guys doing mail-in flashes?

San Diego is a bit far for me. I'm like two hours away from the Oregon border.

So what are the guarantees/usual gains/improvements with the base flashes and how much does it cost? Oh and also, what is the turn-around time and will I have to be removing anything just for a base flash?
If it's the same flash as the one found here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=182122 then I am very interested.

Do you have an EVO9? Those are pretty typical gains for a stock car.

I believe we can overnight it back to you the same day we get it. You will need to remove your ECU to send to us, if you don't already have a laptop and a tactrix cable.

Price is $195 I believe.

Yes, I have an EVO IX MR and a laptop, but no Tactrix cable.
Would this be like the Tactrix cable http://www.gruppe-s.com/OpenPort/OpenPort.htm

EDIT Is that $195 including s/h or is that just for the service? And how can I pay for this? I'm anxious to go pull my ecu right now.

If you have the tactrix cable they should be able to just email you the file and then you can upload it to your ECUwithout having to have your car down is what they are saying. If you don't have the cable, then you either need to find one to borrow from a friend, buy one, or mail your ECU in to AMS and have your car down for a couple of days.

Yes, I understood that, but thanks for trying to be helpful. I don't have the cable that's why I was asking about shipping it in.

You can either ship us your ECU, or you can buy the cable here and I can email you the file.

Price is actually $185 + shipping option of your choice.

Okay, just ordered the universal cable for both subaru and mitsu, now will you guys be coming out with a reflash for 04 sti's or know of anywhere I can find a good reflash for the sti?
Oh and where do i go from here as far as having the reflash emailed to me?
thanks.

EDIT: Adding a kn panel filter wouldn't harm anything later on will it? Oh yeah, and when I was asking about having to remove anything, I meant like the restrictor pill/s.

I need to find a Scooby doo that I can do some testing on here at the shop before I can start offering flashes. As it stands right now, I have yet to flash a single subaru. I would like to familiarize myself with the ecu before I start advertsising that I do it .

Give us a call and talk to one of the sales guys about payment. Send us your current map from your car, and I will return the modified map with your base flash.

Adding a filter, intercooler, licp, or an exhaust will not effect the base flash. Any of those things will work well with the base flash. You are not allowed to change the intake pipe, and if the car is an evo8 we recommend that the car has a fuel pump. A drop in filter will be fine, and cause no problems.

I would remove the restrictor pill in the pressure line coming from the turbo, going to the solenoid. This will allow you to run about 21lbs of boost.

Sorry for sounding like a noob, but electronics just aren't my thing. With that said- How do I send you my current map?

EDIT: Nevermind found a great thread on this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=237869

Does the flash account for the removal of the pill?
