I have heard that Martin no longer goes out to do tuning personally. Do you guys have someone as reputable as Martin available to personally tune two cars (one day) and if so, what is the price for one day of tuning? Does it include air fare? Hotel?

The location would be Denver and the date is unsure at this time but before June 5.

I am talking to another gentleman via email with the same two cars. You aren't the same person are you?

 

Same cars, different person. He trusts Martin which is why I wanted to get Martin. For myself, I just want someone who I am sure can tune skillfully as it is getting really expensive to keep repairing my engine. I have spent over $40k on my car not including labor and repairs. I am tired of paying morons to tune it.

In all seriousness Chris is a great tuner. In the past he's built an engine management himself along with installation, configuration, and tuning. He understands engine performance and knows what it takes to tune a car well. I've spent a lot of time with him going over many tuning systems. He's fully capable of tuning an AEM car from scratch and handles a lot of our tuning at the shop now. We still work together and it just adds to the depth of our resources.

What time frame are you thinking of having Chris or I come out there?

The time frame is end of May or very early June. Unfortunately, I do not hike or bike anymore. I stopped about 10 years ago. I would be happy to put you up for a couple extra days though (hotel or house) if you were interested in coming out.

If Chris comes out, I will not be disappointed though. Your endorsement of him is all that is needed for my friend and myself to feel comfortable with him tuning our cars.

Martin, are you interested in personally coming out? I am sure that Chris is perfectly capable but it would be nice to have you tune our cars. It could be a nice relaxing vacation with a little tuning on the side.

On another note, I just got done chatting with a guy (passing through Kuwait from Iraq) whose name is Ben. He says you guys have his 2006 MR (about 1k miles) at your shop now. His father supposedly brought it in. Is this correct?

Chris has tuned my car twice with awesome results, and Martin tuned it once as well.
