I recently Installed the AMS intercooler and "MANUAL boost controler which THEY TOLD me to put in",,, BTW I have a UTEC. and told them to tune it for me it came out to 306whp, i drive home I track the car and there is no gain at all im running offly rich and notice the car is not putting down the power that it should there is a lot more power that the car can put down. I go back yesterday and tune it at a DIFFERENT LOCATION and tell the guys to pull a base tune and thats the same exact numbers I had with them the first time around... so when u put two n two together AMS took my money and DID no tune at all....

imo U-tec blows on evos, second how much did you think you were going to make? I think it's a good number on an 03

 

Those numbers are about right for your setup..

dude relax i would be glad to make that much. i only made 299 before i went with the buschur 20g.

 

the intercooler is not really a power adder with your mods.

 

I actually made 272 on a DynoDynamics (i was told around 312 on a dynojet) with everything you've got listed minus the UTEC, FMIC, and LICP. I made just 6 hp under my friend with an 05 and everything you've got and ive got an 03. Did you have a baseline run done at AMS though? How much was that? Was it any higher than when you went in? Could you also have a vacuum leak anywhere? I know you said that you made the same numbers as before on the other shops dyno, but what about at AMS?

If I were you I'd sell the AMS intercooler and get a Greddy. That way everyone one of your parts is a different brand which makes them work really well together

Have you tried doing a boost leak test since you put the intercooler on?

 

Yeah, I would check for a boost leak, something had to change. When I installed new parts, i always drove them around, no WOT or anything, to let them settle in after heating up and being jossled around.

I would be shocked if you didn't get better numbers going back, and I am sure they will make this right, ifyou truly feel slighted.

Oh, and BTW, your numbers are good, I had about the same mods, with cams and only got 314. However, i was only spiking to 19 falling back to 17.5 (Road Race setup).

 

You added a FMIC and a mbc correct? It's not like you're going to gain 50hp from a FMIC. Those numbers look pretty correct. Like the others have said, get some cams and add some alchy. Then you'll see some substantial gains.
