Wilwood Replacement Evo VIII Drag front and rear brake pads?
Hey all, I believe the brake pads I have on my wilwoods are a different composite then what typically comes with them, I bought them used from a member who typically got stuff first and also likes different things for his setup.
My brakes SCREAM when slowing down like you are grinding metal, the pads look almost brand new, the brakes themselves weren't used on the car just mounted, but they are screaming now. I tried taking them off and brake cleaning everything and still they scream.
AMS does not have the brake pads listed on the website, and in a PM I was told they are out of stock.
The brake pad part numbers I am told are:
150-8850 for the front
150-9765 for the rear
And that the calipers are:
Rear 120-9688
Front 160-6816
------------------------
When searching for the pads 150-8850 I find these at summit:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIL-150-8850
But that looks like it doesn't exist, and not available. It also finds the same part number but ending in a K, 150-8850K
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIL-150-8850K
The person at AMS I pmed said their part number doesn't end in K and could not verify if that K matters or not as their number doesn't have it.
Now when searching for 150-9765 I don't find any without the K.
I find these:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIL-150-9765K/
But they are actually listed as Smart pad 20 but the AMS website says it uses Smart pad 10 pads.
Searching by the calipers doesn't find any suggested brake pads, but when I sort by Dynalite wilwood series brake pads I do find the 150-8850K pads but not the -9765 pads.
Does anyone know what pads have worked, the model # etc for both the front and the rear drag brakes, and ones that will stop really well, but not loud. They can be dusty, but prefer them to not sound like a chainsaw on metal.
Thanks
