AWD Launches

I was hoping AWD can shed some light on how they get such awesome launches, I got the AWD suspension from you guys and i was hoping for some pointers on how to almost drag my bumper and get some sub 1.5s 60s from you guys.
The settings are exactly how they were out of the box and im hoping to get some new tricks to push my car just a little faster before the season ends up here in new york cause its all in the 60 ft.

thanks in advance,

james

I'm trying to keep this tcase mark, not test it's limits for two very destructive passes. Thanks for the offer though, hopefully you get yours running before the snow hits

I just have all mine set to soft, and I've cut as low as a 1.42 60'. The suspension seems to work pretty great set like that. You also want to make sure that you have an alignment following the installation of the coilovers.

ive got the alignment but mine wasnt set to all soft till after a recent talk with mike. Now it is and im looking foward to some 1/8 mile shake down runs to see how it feels....

lillev23 what tires are you running and what psi do you have them set at at the track?

James, what tire did you run for your 10.2 pass, they were QTP's, right? Your 60' was better than a 1.5 with those, or no?

Any launch on slicks with 15 psi or less in them should net at least a low 1.5 if not better. If not, your either slipping the clutch too much, spinning off the line (less tire pressure or slip more) or bogging off the line (higher launch, more tire pressure, or more slip).

on my 10.2 i honestly have no clue, we never did anything with them but slap them on my car and went to go have fun. i think i might try this 13 psi thing, just at the high 130s im concerned that it will be too wobbly.. im down to try it im just not ready to kiss the wall in the attempt to go faster

lol. It feels like you're in a rocket taking off. The couple times I have launched mine, all I can remember is seeing the sky.
