Boost-Solutions In New Jersey
I would first like to say it was nice meeting everyone, and I had a great time there. As some of you have posted in other threads yes the Red shop Evo did run a 14 second pass. Which was the first pass of the day where Geroge was driving and wanted to make sure that everything was working properly with the nitrous, so he did a pull in two gears and shut it down. Now on the second pass made which I drove the car I had hoped to make a full pass but once off the line the nitrous did not come on. Which with such a large turbo is required to spool it in first and most of second, but let me tell you with the nitrous the turbos spools instantly and hits so hard you feel the blood go to the back of your head. So on my pass I ended up only runing 3rd and 4th gear actually under full boost. If I remember correctly I had around 70mph in the 1/8 but the trapped at 122 mph in the 1/4. We were going to make a third pass but since the event ran a bit longer than they had anticipated we did not get that chance. Let me be the first to say I hate making excuses for anything which is what I feel I have just done, but I feel that it is important I explain what it is that happened. Now another thing that is very important and should not be forgotten is that we drove this car the 900miles from atlanta to n.j. This is still a street car and still will be a street driven car when it runs 10's, 9's. Which is going to happen very soon, so stay tuned.

Serious Geroge, Thanx for trekking up to Etown. Hopefully next time we can see the full potential of your car. That is one sick Turbo. You can hear the turbo spooling high atop the grand stands.
Thanks for making the trip. Also thanks for having a great shop and store.
Most of my mods (see my sig) came from you guys.
Q. Why did they ask you to drop out of the line 1st round of brackets ???
Seems that after coming all that way, you could have made another pass...
I think the folks at Etown weren't aware.

it was a great event, but we were not prepared and we came in late. Driving from GA to NJ was a challenge, and considering we left GA at 3pm on Fri, and got at our hotel at 4am on Sat, so of course, we woke up past 10am. Also, the car was never tuned for driveability, gas mileage, or pump gas. From the dyno we hit the street after a quick oil change.
The nitrous on the car was never tested, so that is why I did the first pass. I never launched it, and really pulled 2nd and 3rd gear only. After that I shut it off to check plugs ( thanks to Al and Pruven for letting us use a spark plug socket, we forgot ours). Everything looked cool. So Doug wanted to run it. I agreed, and dialed in a bit safer nitrous settings. He launched, but the jiuce never came on, and he ended up trapping 122mph with boost just in 3rd and 4th. Like many of you saw, teh turbo NEEDS nitrous for spoolup on the track. Otherwise, on teh street/highway, from a roll, is SICK. Doug ran it, but never paid attention that he won the bracket race. We saw that after the event was over.
In general we had GREAT time. We were glad to meet all of you guys.
We are also proud to DRIVE the red beast all the way to New Jersey, not trailer it... So now it is just a dyno queen, not a dyno and trailer queen
