hey i'm wondering if we're still gonna go ahead with a turbo kit group buy in spring/summer of 2005.
those who want to buy one, should start saving up for then, and those who can afford one now, shoulld still wait til 2005 cuz winter is coming and u wont get to use its full potential.
i'm about to store my car for the winter....kinda late, but i'm gonna have to wash my car by hand tonight at -8...
but i hear the Essential Speed's turbo kit (the one Noel's got) is gonna be going for $4500CDN shipped (in canada east coast) of course, however, maybe if we can convince a few other heads, we might be able to drop it a few more digits.
so Noel...about them dyno results u promised us last summer/fall?

a supercharger is tied to the speed of the crank shaft (or whatever pulley you use), which means that the power output is linear with the speed of the pulley, so at low revs you are making almost no power
a turbo works much more efficently in this aspect.. as long as the turbo is the right size, you can be making power a little above idle
also there is the issue of cooling the compressed air.. with a supercharge, you need to somehow plumb in an aftercooler or you have to limit boost
