"When the SLOW DOWN lamp comes out, CVT ECU will send the signal to reduce engine power. The SLOW DOWN lamp will be turn off when CVT temperature reach approximately 132 degree celsius (It take about 5 – 10 minutes depends to the driving method). This SLOW DOWN lamp normally comes out during aggressive driving but sometimes depends to the driver’s driving method. This function serves as a protection of the CVT from overheating and extend the life of the CVT"---> some dude who doesn't speak proper English, but knows the Owners Manual pretty well.

Lancergirl08, what was your driving scenario when that popped up?

Initially, i thought it was a combination of a negative temp and high speed that triggered it :s
