If you are close to Edmunton town just go and pick it up at the warehouse and you save shipping , it seems like you are saving anyways by picking it up at the dealers place.

BUT i ordered the Amsoil severe gear, got to my door for 30$ : / 12$ shipping is a little crazy. I was more worried about my Transfer case than the transmission since i still have the clutch pill in.

i just contacted lancershop and im sending them the money tonight

now all i need is the Amsoil filter!

Apagan you are just sneaky, popping up all over the place.

Just throwing it out there (since a amsoil representative is here), I am currently running the signature series 0-30 amsoil for my Evo X. Since its thinner, I notice the engine seem to rev easier and at the same time I got better mileage. Then again I got a tune around the same time as well, but still, I am getting better mileage then my friends with the same tune . I like this oil because its thin and yet it provides all the protection of, what I assume, thicker grade oil. It also helps with the cold Canadian winter

I really want to do a header with an external wastegate on the evo. I have yet to find someone who offers this for the stock turbo.

thats the thing i noticed with Evos lately, theres not a lot of EWG setups unless you venture towards gt30, 35R turbos. you can get almost same amount of power with FP Red...and its internally gated, and spools 20+psi by 3800 which makes it awesome street driven car. i like to see what an HTA red or HTA Green spools!

the stock IX turbo is pretty damn good already, capable of running 25psi all day internally gated, any more than that its just blowing hot air and shortening the life of it, might as well upgrade. Ive seen a lot of people pusing 29psi on E85 with stock turbo IWG, but i dont know how long it will last.

Big Al from Dynoflash did a study of the EWG and Stock turbo a while back, i havent read through it yet so i dont know how relavant it is to your question lol

Thats actually not an ewg. Thats just a dump tube on the o2 housing with the stock wg. Another thing I would consider.

The open tube (Second picture, bottom tube) is on the wastegate side of the turbo, and the other tube with the flange connects to your downpipe. When your wastegate opens on your turbo, normally it stays within the o2 housing/downpipe joining the airflow with the rest of the exhaust system. With the external dump tube for the wastegate, the exhaust gases go to atmosphere allowing less restriction, better boost control, less chance of boost creep (think open exhaust), and a handfull of other benefits. It's also quite a bit louder once the wastegate opens.

Does that help at all?

Where is this video?

I'd like to do that or do the proper route with the o2 external wastegate downpipe combo, but thats a little bit more money.

Technically it's illegal to modify at all

Ya man, for sure. I'd like to slap one of those o2 housings on there, but I'm not sure if I would need a tune or not.
