wow 30% is nice im not sure the percentage of military discount, i know its tax free, and they give me a good discount on the part itself also.

but next time i will definately ask for the Vancouver Subaru club

i saw his intake for sale, but i rather just spend 70$ on Amsoil Filter + MAF adaptor, then later on i'll just get a UICP. its very little gain in power anyways.

my LICP should be here soon, and i'll probably throw in the Hallman MBC, because i have a bad feeling that its gonna raise my boost slightly. that and its winter, im overboosting quite a bit, and the ecu kicks it back, to 17, then back to 20-22psi...i really dont like that.

have you noticed any increase in boost? i know 2+ PSI over the tune isnt exactly bad when the car was tuned for stock PSI...and on 91ct California **** gas, and now im running Chevron 94oct, i think its still a safe margin if its just overboosting for a short moment.

You also have an exhaust and such thought right? I'm thinking thats the main reason for the overboosting. I'd suggest spending a bit extra and getting a EBC. They can be had in the classfieds for quite cheap.

yeah...and im exactly that, cheap lol. and yes im running an exhaust.

i talked to English racing about this, and they said the MBC is better bang for the buck, he said he could tune the car easier with the MBC also....so i bought his MBC lol.

that and the MBC holds the boost better with temp changes, so i totally went for it. (that and it was 65$ from Aaron from English racing lol)

not much til the spring really : / im going to get access to the garage on the base this winter and hopefully get the O2 housing in and thats probably it since it doesnt require a tune.

i just want to get a few more basic mods on before the English racing tuning trip (If i can even make it)

next spring, i want to start looking at putting together a FP Red setup, with all these HTA turbos comin out, the FPRed's price is starting to drop fast. maybe if HTAs are cheap in the spring i'll pick one up.

my end goal is to just hover around 425awhp (dynojet). i know 500awhp (dynojet) is pushing it for a stock block, so i like to be safe, and the FP red can easily take me there with or without Cams, i'd rather go without cams in case i get posted to a province with Air care.

whats your goals? im sure coming from an 18g WRX like me you're probably gonna want something bigger immediately

Honestly nothing major at all. I just want to get the exterior the way I want it first. Wouldn't mind throwing a o2 housing and turbo back on and some other minor stuff. The wrx was fast, so I don't feel the need to build another really fast car right now. Like I said before though, my evo still has warranty too

paying the tax myself crippled me : / should have taken a bigger loan to cover the taxes.

i havent put up the suby for sale yet, so once its sold i'll have cash to throw around

im spending more cash flushing out all of my fluids in the car. im flushing out my tranny and t-case this week when the Amsoil severe gear lube comes. i'll give you guys a review of how the Redline MTL and Mt90 runs in the tranny.

i dont know what fluid is in the car now, but its a little notchy when its cold.

I thought my taxes would have been more...The officer never charged me duty, but don't tell anyone.

The tranny issue, I'm pretty sure it's the way they are. It's not a subaru transmission

I am using MTL+MT90 mix in my MR tranny and its very smooth. I like it a lot. But i don't dare put anything but OEM fluids in the rear diff and transfer case haha i've heard of too many horror stories, even amsoil i'm afraid.

My boost peaks at around 23psi and stays at 20psi at full boost, is that normal for stock? Seems like everyone's numbers are much lower. Mind you I am completely stock, no intake/exhaust or anything. I don't think I am flashed either, but even if i was when i bought the car, without a boost controller, the boost won't be changed by ECU on the evo right?

My intake is sold ladies and gentlemen...

Stock boost supposedly should be 1.1 bar around 17 psi taper around 15 psi
23 Psi taper down to 20 psi sounds normal but cranking the PSI up i suggest you get a tune. AND your car will run really bad if you crank up your boost with no aftermarket exhaust

The exhaust basically help you get more air flowing out when there is more pressure. So basically the more psi with the TBE it makes a huge difference

By the way my turbo is for sale! i am going with an aftermarket getting my MR 6SPD reinforced by shepard and cranking it to 30 PSI
