Need a New Winshield :(

Looks like I need a new windshield... so any advice would be appreciated.

I had a really tiny stone chip on my windshield. I went to go get it repaired at the Speedy Autoglass at 5235 Steeles Avenue West in North York. I had this done twice on my previous car... and figured it would just be a routine fix again. So I went for a walk while they went to work on my car. I got a call from them... I thought it would be to say my repair was done. To my horror the guy tells me... "Uhhh... err... the repair did not take..." What the fack??? I run back to my car to see what was initially damage less than the size of a dime now was a crack that covered two thirds the height of the windshield.

Fack... so now I need a new windshield.

Any suggestions on where I should go to get my windshield repaired? How much will it cost? Should I go for Mitsubishi glass? I spoke to a different Speedy Autoglass... and they quoted me $500+tax for the repair. But that doesn't include Mitsubishi glass... he said it includes "OEM Approved Equivalent glass".

When giving advice... I rather have the job done RIGHT as opposed to cheaply.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Ummm...so they ****ed up and expects you to pay for their mistake? Don't they just inject that filler on the crack anyways?

Same thing happened to me, but I didn't go to Speedy since they don't treat cars very well.

It really depends on where the crack on the car is. Mine split, but I'll just wait for my insurance company to cover it and just pay deductible when I have to. Kinda sucks, but I know my windshield crack wasn't replaceable.
