Same thing with me when I tried to get some parts from one of the Edmonton, Alberta dealers. Back in October they told me they were switching to supplying everything in Canadian warehouses.
Their prices even went up to the point they did not want to tell me the price of the HID headlights. Minor parts have gone up in cost more then anything else has in this country and the parts guys were blaming it on the increase cost of operation for the new system.
I like my evo but I will never buy another mitsubishi product. I also tell people I work with who regularly buy new and multiple cars to stay away, since in a town of 50,000 people we have at least 25 evo x's and about 10 Raliarts. Pretty good for a town with out a mitsubihi dealership closer then 500km away.
Even though South Side mitsubishi has given me nothing but great service, Mitsu Canada drags them down.
If I ever buy the next version of teh Evo that may come out it will be out of the USA. But thats not likely.
