you guys in Edmonton and Calgary are lucky. You should price out insurance in Toronto. My friend that moved to Calgary last year is paying under $2000. In Toronto he was paying over $4900 with a couple of tickets and one claim...for a crappy mazda truck...not even 4wd. I have a clean record rated 6 stars and over 25....and my insurance for the Ralliart is still $2340 a year. I was quoted as high as $3600....crazy...no tickets ,accidents, claims and have been driving for almost 14 years......don't get it!!!!

I don't get it either man. I was playing around with the insurance quote from Insurance-Canada.ca

I got a quote from them for a 1995 Neon for $3100, which is what Im paying right now actually and the car I could sell and maybe get $4000 if Im lucky

Then I punch in for a 2003 Lamborghini Murcielago, retail price $409,000 Canadian, and get a quote of only $18,520.00

a 2003 Lancer LS goes for $4,478.00 in insurance on that site, with an Evo going for $5,025.00

Hey tyler,

I bought my Lancer from Southside Mitsubishi...I jus turned 20 years old...I bought mine when I was 19. I pay about $4800/Year
I have a clean record.......WELL NOT ANYMORE...

I live in Sherwood Park and this one ****in cop nailed me for speeding(near Tim Hortons...surprise surprise) and then same cop nailed me for stop sign, and to boot he threatened to sieze my car for tinted windows and red turn signals in front. So after that I noticed my old old radar detector was failing on me, I jus bought one w/ my Christmas money and I got the BEL VECTOR 985...wicked radar...I took it down for a bit cause its been like -40 here and I dunno if keeping it the car would wreck it and plus, it too cold and im too cold to speed lol.

But ya, so ur gonna look at about that much for your lancer, remember though, I have full coverage on my car..so if u get jus "PLPD" ur insurance will be cheaper

I was originally quoted $1500, but they finally sent me my insurance papers and they gave me a pretty good discount for having 2 cars registered. I'm only paying $1050/year.
