My name is mark and i'm a 20 yr old chem eng student at u of t mississauga. I'm the proud owner of a 2003 OZ which I just bought on Saturday from the original owner who used it as a show car for his shop.

The car came modified already, so it was perfect for me, because I'm buying a turbo kit and the basic mods are already done. Here's what i got:

AEM Intake, Bored Throttle Body, Bored Manifold, JE Pistons, Clutchmaster clutch, shaved fly wheel, road//race test pipe, Greddy Exhaust, Tien Springs, Racing Hart Rims, Toyo Tires, Sparco shift knob, harnesses and pedals. shaved badges. Greddy oil and radiator cap. lower sway bars, front and rear. It has a 150hp engine after all the mods.

 

looks like you are ready for a RRM intercooled turbo kit and RRM header. Welcome to the club and enjoy the stay.

Well I had to pay for it, it's not like it came free!

I know the car you are taking about, did you get to see receipts for all that aftermarket stuff. The reason i ask is here is the same car for sale with half the mods done??? and if i was selling a car i wouldn't put any more work into it. just a thought.

No I don't have receipts because all the parts were added onto the car through the shop.

 

intakes, rims and other stuff is easy to see, but as for Bored Throttle Body, Bored Manifold, JE Pistons, Clutchmaster clutch, shaved fly wheel, you might wanna get someone to take a second look. also if they told you it was 150hp they lied, his user name was I_LOVE_SPOOL here and i am trying to find the post but after he put on all the parts he dynoed it and the result was like 120hp and he was pissed so he decided to sell the car.

 

Hmm, well the guy at the shop swore that those parts were on and so did the seller. It feels pretty fast too.

 

Not trying to be a jackass, but you took someone's word that all these aftermarket mods were on and paid asking price for the car?

I'd get a second opinion. Seems like the stuff that's really hard to see is probably what drove the price up, better check you got what you paid for.

On a more positive note, welcome to the community. I didn't know enough about the community last year, so I didn't make it out much, but this year I plan to be there for at least one meet. Hope to see you there.

Well it was already low mileage and the rims and tires are $3000 alone, i even priced them out.

 

plus it came with a sunroof and a cd player and he also took out this block where some plastic was before so i could put in guages.

 

I dunno you cannot just look at a car and see if the throttle body and manifold had been bored tha is impossible. anyways his I_LOVE_spool account was disabled and he came back as Lancer_4_sale here is the post started jan 10 and last posted feb 6th and no mention of some of the mods.
