Tuner
Hey guys I'm looking for a tuner locally (I live in Mississauga) that can work on my evo. I read a lot on the forums even before making this account and I know there's already threads talking about all the tuners in Ontario are not so good and it's better to go across the boarder for a tune. For me that's not really an option cause in case I have questions or concerns where a phone call is not enough to explain, I would want to bring it in to the shop to have it looked at.
I have looked so far Magnus, Advance Power House and Neetronics. I know that Neetronics is more of a subaru tuner so definitely no and I read a lot about Magnus blowing evo x motors which again not so convincing. The only one I haven't heard negative comments on is Advance Power House.
Can I get some feed back on these guys if someone has gotten there car tuned with them or if anyone has other suggestions of other tuners. Just keep in mind I prefer to keep it local and no mail tuning.

Aph probably isn't a good idea. I was told that their evo ix wasn't even tuned by them but taken to buschur. I'm in the same boat as you. If I was you I would pick up a cobb ap and go with that. If you want a custom tune, you'll have to either go stateside or learn to use the open tuning software. Try contacting Scarborough Mitsubishi and talk to the service department. They are very supportive of the aftermarket and may be able to point you in the right direction. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thank you for your reply. I don't think I have much choice but to go over the border. I saw that there are two tuners that are relatively close to us which is innovative tuning and STM. There are good things said about STM but I am still making more research to see if anyone else thats relatively close.

To say the truth I am really considering doing what soderdna is doing going to buschur racing. From where I live to buschur is like a 5 hour drive so that's not that bad for such a good tuner. Or even going to STM which is a 3 hour drive who also has a good reputation for tuning evo x's.
I was considering e-tune from AMS or baka or even clipse3gt there really good and always talked about being high ranked for e-tuning.
There's clearly a few of us here who are in the same situation, would be interesting to take a trip across the border and maybe get a group tune.
