Ok, well ever since I told him he his, and my hopes for an evo making it here didn't happen, he is thinking that you basically cannot, what so ever, bring an EVO 8 Here at all.
I tell him you can, as long as it's not for street use, he says no. I say yes, and it gets into an argument here.
I already prooved to him that people with a EVO Registered in the US can, and that shut him up for a while.
He keeps coming back to me saying now that only if it is registered you can bring one in here.
Thanks in advance.
(P.S: Where not arguing about EVO's registed in the states and driving here for a weekend or anything, Were trying to find out if you can actually bring an USDM Evo 8 Into Canada, not registered or anything, and keep it in ur driveway and track only use)

ya you could go that route if needed but you would need to transport it to the track. From what i have heard the Evo didn't pass canada's crash specs so you probably couldn't even get covered for track days.
I know in the states its legal to have a car at the track for racing. its when you try driving it home is where the trouble starts.

just get a WRX STI....not too far off..... there all problems solve. .....on a serious note I heard there are ways to have a EVO here in Canada...but I don't know the exact specifics. If you have the dough then you can get just about anything here.

Ya it would be smarter to settle for a plain old STI (not too plain or old). I don't think it would be worth having to have your EVO in a trailer... what's the fun in that? the point of the Evo is to drive it!
O well.... if someone wants to spend thousands on a great Rally car, so they can drive it in a straight line at the track, then let them be.

not me, if i had the money, i'd buy an evo from like vermont, someplace real close and drive it to canada, change plates make it canadian.
and i'd drive it around town.
honestly, i dont think the evo is illegal in canada, its just not selling here yet cuz of some marketting shyt or something. i dont see why it can't be rolled in the streets of montreal, when the STI has more power, and when u see alot of exotic italian cars in downtown in the summer.

deux: please do some reading before you shoot your mouth man. there are reasons why the evo isn't legal and if you want to drive one up from vermont and change the plates good luck registering it since it is on the forbidden list and CAN'T be registered in Canada. and it has nothing to do with how much power the evo has. and if the evo were legal it would sell - oh it would sell. especially in the GTA since this is like one of the richest parts of NA
