thats cool i understand that.
here is a tip for doing it.
Get a multi meter and turn your car on with your lights off (so the DRL is on). test to see which wire has power running to it.... splice into it and run a wire for your togle switch.
With the difficulties that it seems everyone is having that would be my best suggestion on doing it. Maybe i will try it tonight to see if it works, take pictures and post them (if i have time, or remember the pictures) as a how too.
FYI your will NOT be on left if you forget to turn the switch off (incase anyone is wonderingmost people would have figured that out though.)

EASIER SOLUTION :

unplug your bulbs at shows.

Actually thats a good idea. Just toggle the power to the headlights completely. Of course I'd want to be sure there is no way to kill the DRLs beofre I start modding my headlights

<3am, psy-q's lights die due to tampering. Kaboom>

cutting and splicing in a toggle switch is not easier..

the only difference between and US RA and a Canadian RA is that there is a little box (relay and some circuits) that plugs into certain spot.. unplug that and you have a US spec RA with no DRL.. when you bring it back to the dealer, just plug it back in and you are set

i want to see how you can explain the splice wire to the dealer.. it's a nasty and brute force way to solve our simple problem

I want to be able to control it, not kill it. Splicing a wire will not be a problem as long as its to a toggle and not to power something.

Ummmmm.. no comment.

Consult a mechanic at a different dealership than the one you usually go to.
