Disabling CDN Lancer Daytime Running Lights
Ok, i've been looking for instructions on how to disable the daytime running lights on a Canadian Lancer.
They are NOT turned on/off by the steering column switch as most US people like to point out.
They are standard equip on all Canada vehicles since 1989ish, and turn on as soon as the put the key to ON. I also know that it is illegal to have them off in countries where they are required, but I want to toggle them so I can show off my sweet LEDs when my parking lights are on.
I've been through all my fuses with no success, and the US Lancer wiring diagram does not seem to include information on it as far as I can see.
Help please

I don't know how different the canadian lancer is... but try pulling up your e-brake - JUST ONE CLICK- if it is on your console... that is how most u.s. domestics work for turning off the day time running lights....
by pullin up your e-brake only one click... it doesn't affect your car at all... unless the canadian lancer is different... I have a buddy that drives and SS Camaro and he had the same problem with the lights and he pulls up his e-brake one click and no more lights... he has never had any problem with his brakes..

there should be a small square shaped box under the driver dash that is marked with Mitsubishi and "DRL Module"...simply unplug it...this will cut the DRL's but won't affect any other lighting
i will remind you that this is illegal in Canada, but to each his own
