Hi all!

Blaze: you have to have that day off.. We need you here!! Otherwise, just send your girlfriend with the car

Mitsubishi_03 you're welcome to come crash at my place as usual

GreenArcher you're also welcome to come here if you want

Other people can ask, but I'd be running out of rooms.. Actually, if people are willing to do indoors camping (sleeping bags and all) you're welcome to come crash here.. (Les gens de Sherbrooke aussi, si vous voulez, hein WoRkZ! ahah)

If we're all going to enter the cars in the show, I *might* be persuaded to enter mine too, although I really wasn't planning to...

I agree with davelancer though, if we don't know in advance how many cars will enter the show, and we want to have all the cars together, we have to be there at 9AM or so... (Si on ne sait pas exactement combien d'entre nous veulent entrer leur auto dans le show/competition, et qu'on veut tous mettre nos autos ensemble, on doit etre la a 9H AM ou a peu pres...)

Aww man, track day and show event? T.O. guys don't ever miss this ( I should say that to myself). Running your cars on track is the most exhilirating experience. No cops to worry (only pushing your cars to the limit hehehe). Shannonville for me was the best experience on my old GALANT.

Wish I could come, but you guys from T.O. knows what I have to do that day so I won't be able to come. Can I ask you guys a favor though...EDT posted an RF radio for sale. If anyone can pick it up for me? GREENARCHER(Dennis), ENJOKU(Emil), REDSCAREDEVIL(Jing)?

Let me know, I'll drop off the dough before you go.

thanks Fluke for offering your place again. I'll try to help first those who are bringing their wives and kids to find accomodation. Can anybody suggest a cheap hotel like Days Inn?

Workz, Fluke. What is required to be in the show? Meaning do have to leave our cars there for the whole afternoon and evening. And let us know what time we have to be there. (We also have to realize that if we arrive from Toronto on that day, there will still be luggages in the car.

I met some of the TO guys today at the phantom show and I think I have 4 other people coming too to join us in Montreal including entering in the show. We just need information on requirements etc. Davelancer said we have to enter together (at the same time). Is it possible to register remotely, that is, faxing us the registration and we'll fax it back to them? this is just to minimize the confusion should we not all arrive at the same time but still avail of a group discount.

Anyway, things seem to be starting to roll.

If you enter Show&Shine you might be required to keep the car on site, and it would be good if you found a place to store your luggages

Okay people, as GreenArcher said, this is all beggining to take shape. Our only problem right now is the fact that not everybody might be interested in entering their cars in the Show & Shine.

So right now, I need a little vote on your part:

Option 1: Everybody meets at noon and those who entered their car in the S&S can be picked up to meet with the rest of the bunch.

Option 2: The guys who don't enter their car park at Metro and then we shuttle everyone at the show to meet there.

Option 3: We meet directly at the show, using the available parking. A problem with this option is that we've now been advertizing this meet as taking place in the Metro parking lot, and some of us have now distributed a fair ammount of flyers...

Cast your vote now so that the matter is decided by tomorrow and we can then go ahead with a definitive planning because right now it's all for himself and we need a bit of cohesion if we wan't this to be a nice event.

Note #2: Please go through davelancer for anything that has to do with the show. We need someone to coordinate that part of the meet and he's already been doing this as of today.

For all other important matters, please PM me because I am trying to follow up on many threads, manage the e-mail address provided in the flyer and keep you all informed at the same time... I need your help to be able to carry the information back and forth easily.

GreenArcher: has you've been my best liaison with the Toronto guys and the EvoM forum, can you please help in this matter by keeping me apprised of all important developpements?

Note #3: I know I wasn't (s)elected by anyone to coordinated this meet, but at the time no one wanted the job (see the first page of this thread). For the next event(s), I will be quite ready to step down and let others do the job, but right now I will not quit until this show is a success... or a failure. If the latter would prove to be true, than I am also willing to take the blame for it.

That also means I will rely on your support to make this happen... and I can tell you I need all the support I can get right now. For instance, I've yet to secure any promotionnal items to be given away at the meet. I am negociating with the local dealer, but I know I don't have the time nor ressources to go though all the dealers in Quebec to try to pry someting out of them. Hence, I am lloking for someone from each city to go on and contact their respective dealers. Tell them it's their way to be represented at the meet and that most others have already given stuff to be handed at the meet... it's a very nice way to bend the thruth, but don't these guys do it everyday anyway?

If anyone is up to the challenge, please let me know so we can post the info as soon as possible and then use it in our negiciations with other dealers!

Also, we've been discussing the fact that it would be great to get some sodas and bottled water to be distributed at the meet. This should preferably come from any kind of sponsorship deal... and proper credit will be given during the meet.

If any of you guys is good with this thing (and I know quite well some of you are), then please help in that matter. If anyone lands a substantial sponsorship for the event, all promotionnal material will of course be updated to reflect it and again, proper credit will be given during the meet.

Please contact me about any serious advertisement deals... we can always work something out.

And last but not least: we are looking for any kind of mobile PA system (even a megaphone would do the trick) to be used at the meet. Please PM me if you can secure anything that can serve this purpose. I already dispose of a professionnal microphone, but we still need something to plug it to.

Keep at it people! I'm sure this one is going to be uge for the Mitsubishi communitys!!! Let's give this brand the recognition it needs!

I'd like to be there. I'm planning on entering my car in the show...but I really don't want to go alone. Is there much interest at this point?

We'll need to coordinate between those in the show and those meeting at the Metro. Any ideas?

Emre

Thumbs up

Emre, how have you been?! It would be really great to have you with us!

As I mentionned earlier, get in touch with davelancer for anything regarding the show. For the shuttle service, I'll coordinate it... and make sure the group is not split in two places during the meet. This would suck big time!

Also, could all of you guys please vote on the item I posted earlier so that we can then finally decide on the official location of the meet. I can't organize transport between point A to point B if I don't know where the said points are to be located in the first place

See you at the meet!

decisions, decisions.

My vote. Option 2. this way, those who are not entering (and who aren't on Evom) will still find people at the Metro parking lot. Then meet the rest of the club as a show of support at the show.

Option 1 is not bad also but those who entered the show may not be able to leave their car. Or can they?

How long is the show anyway? I'd still like the chance of hanging out with fellow mitsubishi owners after.

Cool

The way I see it, the guys who entered their cars would leave it there for the full duration of the show... so I support option 2 myself. Let's see what the other guys think though...

I'm for option 2 also but maybe not everybody is willing to spend 15$ to get in.

As for getting the cars in the show, the best would be to get there at 9 am. But 10 am wouldn't be that bad I think. I talked to DaveLancer on the phone and he told me he wants to first meet the people entering the show at a place like Julep, for those who don't know how to get there. This is what we we will probably do in order to group up for registration.
