Got knock on my first use/Cobb AP

Ok so just got my Cobb AP today and installed. I began monitoring knock count. I am running the base map(for stock intake and exhaust), my car is completely stock. Saw a count of 5 once while leaving a red light and then did a half throttle pull from 2nd to third and got a knock count of 2.

Not sure how to attach logs, every time I hit the attachment link it says invalid file. It is an excel spreadsheet. Help please?

Did you give your engine time to adjust to the new map? In the instructions it says to drive like 50 miles or 20 minutes without WOT. Next question is which map did you try? Cobb maps are made to blanket wide variety of engines they aren't tailored to any one specific engine. Everyone will tell you the best way is to get a custom tune.

I used the basic stage 1 93 oct map. This one.

v1.08 -- Stage1 93 GSRv108 - Intended for an otherwise stock 2010 Mitsubishi EVO X GSR vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust, STOCK INTAKE SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. 93 or 94 octane fuel. Boost Targets: ~24psi peak boost pressure tapering down to ~17psi by the 7500 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.

Dumb question here, you did have 93 octane in the tank when you tried this map right? Some gas stations don't always have the best gas. If it was me I'd try the 91 octane map with the 93 octane gas that's available in your area. See what the knock is then? Then if it is ok, I would wait till I was out of gas and fill up with 93 again from a different station say a BP and try again. If that didnt work I would run the car out of 93 then try 91 and the 91 map. It says in the fuel requirement section if detonation occurs try a lesser map with lesser fuel quality.
And if none of that worked I'd try the ACN 91 map.

I always run either BP, Shell, or Mobil 1. Never use no-name stations. And it was 93 for sure. I did a pull the other day and according to the boost gauge hit 28 psi which kind of freaked me out so I uninstalled it. Been sitting in the closet since. Im going to try and run the LWG since its still pretty cold out and see if that will help with overboost and knock. Also just fyi, completely stock here, no mods at all except for the AP.

Yeah, when I got my AP my car was completely stock as well. Since I've added an ETS intake, it was a little bit of trial and error with selecting my map too.

Try monitoring knock from rolling pulls without changing gear. When you let out the clutch from a stop or change gear, your car is making noises that it will think is knock. I get big knock counts when I start from a stop, but rolling starts not touching the clutch 0 knock.
