I have a 2011 Evo x gsr stage 2 pro tuned by efi logics. I failed mass state inspection 2nd yr in a row. Last yr Chris from efi turned the rear o2 back on and then I passed no problem. I left that same map on since and when I went for inspection yesterday it failed emissions. O2 monitor not ready and catalyst not supported. My car has now been flagged by the state and I need a mac inspection now which requires me to put my car completely back to stock. My buddy has stage 2 wrx protune with no problems. Is it something with the software or the tune causing my emissions problems? If I would have uninstalled ap before inspection while staying stage 2 would that have worked? I can send my tune file if needed. I'm just very frustrated and feel like just selling the car. Only had one not ready which was o2 monitor.

Ya.... its in your tune. Flash back to an ots map that applies to your mods and make sure nothing is turned off as far as trouble codes go. I'm guessing he turned of the P0420 code which renders your catalyst monitor un supported which is not cool as far as inspection goes.

 

So stage 2 ots map should work? I have ebcs also tho. I'm just ripped

you should just go my route and don't get an inspection. Waste of time and money. They don't pull the registration when you don't have one. I haven't gotten an inspection on any of my vehicles in years.

It probably reads "not ready" because you didnt drive around with it enough. I think those things take 100 or so miles before it checks out as "ready"

 

Car had been driven on same map for a yr. why would catalyst say not supported? Would that cause it to fail?

 

So last yrs inspection sheet that passed shows same emissions results as this yrs which failed. Makes no sense. Does the catalyst monitor have to say supported? Something change?

-evaporative ready
-secondary air not supported
-a/c system not supported
-o2 monitor not ready
-o2 heater ready
-egr ready.

And that passed not yr but not this yr.....
