When developing and improving our products we try our best to make decisions that benefit the community as a whole. Tuning strategies change as we discover and better educate ourselves on the Evo X platform. In recent discovery work we determined that an aftermarket intake is more beneficial to the car a few steps later in the modification process. Our Off The Shelf Maps now reflect that as we only offer intake support with our Stage 3 maps.

Now, we definitely understand that this caused some confusion and frustration with the community as most people think of an intake as one of the first modifications to make. Our intent with this guide is to help customers who have an intake installed on their car but may not have all of the modifications required to use a Stage 3 OTS map.

can you guys add aem intake?

 

The AEM, K&N typhoon, and K&N panel filter, are all products we hope to support in the near future. We did not have those particular products when we did the initial testing, but we do plan to add them.

 

i got the old map for aem intake for 2010 MR, is it safe to use the values from the old map to paste on MAF sensor table and use the new value on the spreedsheet for MAP base load calc.? My year model is 2012 MR.

Very nice! Glad to see you guys providing more support and development for the Evo X's. The So-Cal branch has been extremely helpful since I started tinkering with the Accessport.

 

Glad to see this after I get rid of my ap and lost money on it.

 

The tuning strategy has changed since the older revisions of maps so I would not recommend using those MAF values. We have an AEM intake on order and will be adding it to the spreadsheet as soon as possible.

 

i had the map done for my intake.
will the new intake map i done be safe with a bigger intercooler kit with wot?

 

The larger intercooler will not effect the tune enough to cause any issues.

Why not just give instructions on how to do a proper MAF Cal for any intake? Can we use the MAP table you provided, then do open and closed loop MAF cal using the toggles and a wideband?

So I just checked the spreadsheet out for the MAF scaling and it looks like the K&N Panel filter is in there. Are these settings good for all EVO's? I have a 2008 GSR which is why I ask.

Also is it suggested to get the relay recall done before adding any edits to our current OTS maps? I just have a stage 1 stock OTS map with the K&N panel filter and I will be making an appointment to get the relays replaced soon.
