I also bought a V2 because I don't need the bigger screen. I don't keep it plugged in all the time and if you're pulling logs, you're going to be downloading them to your PC, not reading them on the screen. Some people keep the V3 plugged in all the time and use it as a customizable gauge. This is where having the bigger screen is a benefit.

I would suggest just getting a pro tune. I had the cobb first and had over boosting issues, as well as some knock and decided to get a pro tune and greatly prefer it. For the marginal increase in $, the protune in my mind was worth the extra piece of mind.

I agree 100% but with my budget I can only do a few mods at a time so getting tunned each time would be pricey, Im looking into evoscan

You can get protunes put on the Cobb AP. Best of both worlds. You can log, view live data, and switch tunes on the fly.

I have the V2B, and while it is great, you have to deal with screen burn in and no power switch. I keep mine mounted and plugged in whenever I am driving to keep an eye on knock typically. The bigger screen with up to 6 displayed parameters is a huge boon for the V3 and once I head back to Cobb for a dual fuel ProTune, I will be upgrading.

FYI I have had mine for about 2 years and had the screen replaced once by Cobb for free.

Depends on what you need it to do. It is great to read codes, change maps, tune and data log. I picked one up for cheaper than a tactrix 2.0 and couldn't be happier.

Just got back from Cobb Plano and upgraded to a V3 during lunch. Night and day. Faster flashing, and the extra features are awesome. Get the V2, but Cobb will take it towards a trade in for a V3. We have 8.25% sales tax, so I got my V3 upgrade for $270 out the door.

All I see and hear about are people having issues with Cobb's maps and hardware/software with the Evo's. If I were you I would just get a pro tune. Accessport's seem much more geared twords Subaru's.. Just scroll though the posts in this section, almost every one is someone having a problem.. What's up with that Cobb?

I have run a tweaked v403 Stage 3 OTS for over a year. Occasionally get 5-6 knock. Scaled MAF myself, messed with tip out enleanment so I can VTA and have rear o2 disabled. Also run a AEM UEGO and AFRs while rich, are safe. I am getting dual tune in the next month or so, but I have had no issues with the OTS tunes.
