Mods, times and shifting

Currently I have the following mods:
Ported O2 housing, 3"dp, custom exhaust, aem intake, 700cc, 255lph, ebc, custom dynoflash, s-afc. I run consistent 12.5-12.6s (depending on weather) with a 60' always in the 1.65-1.68 range. ACT 2600 clutch, sorry.
This weekend I'm putting in ARP headstuds, cometic metal hg, kevlar tb, adjustable cam gears and 272/272 HKS cams. Then in two weeks I get the car tuned. Seeing that I have the s-afc and i have a goal in mind, 11.5s on stock turbo, do I get tuned with race gas? I think I should. Also at what point should I be shifting into 5th, if at all? I know 5th gear is a real dog so I want to stay out of it as much as possible. Right now I shift to 2nd at 6900rpm just before redline, every shift after that I'm shifting at 6600-6700rpm.

Why are you shifting so early?

With my mods: SAFC, Ported and Polished Manifold and Turbo, Greddy Profec B, Custom Dynoflash, 3" Megan Racing Turboback, and an intake filter I ran a 12.4 at 111 with a stock clutch pulling off 1.70 60's. I normally shift right at redline so the rpms are probably at 7200 or so when I shift.

I was on the dyno back in March granted it was a lot cooler, my peak torque came in at 3500rpm with peak hp at 6800 rpm. Should I be shifting about 200rpm later. The days I've run have all been 83deg or more and very humid
ps: fastest time was on without s-afc, stock dp and stock O2 housing. That was probably the coolest day I've raced all summer. I honestly believe thats why my traps are so low

Your 272's will change all of that.

I see you got a custom flash. rev limit to 7800 rpm's ? You don't have to shift to 5th. 4th gear at 7800rms are around 122-125 mph

Race gas is a must if you want to run safe.

Also upgrade your stock intercooler. It'll heat soak by 4th gear.

Fast times BTW

ya i'm heat soaking as it is. My fastest time came in May when it was still kinda cool out. Nothing like the 50deg day when I got tuned. I think my car should be faster now that I have figured out how to drive it. I'm thinking given a much cooler day than I've run with so far I should be able to run a 12.3
I'm not really worried about heat soak in November when I go back to the track. But just incase my buddy has a nitrous express kit for the intercooler that I might be running.
