Buschur dyno results with stage II
I have the COMPLETE stage II on my evo, love the products and the performance i gained, but i dont think im anywhere near 343 whp.Thats what they claim on there site that they made on their 2wd dyno.
So i went and had my car dynoed on a 4wd dynojet...remember its a complete stage II with the afc set with his settings, but in 93 octane and his 3'' cat, which he told me would lose 10-15 whp....ready...287.4 whp.
im not knocking buschur and i will continue with his stages.....Im just curious if my car is underpowered, maybe from the cat?

the stage 1 #'s were with a mixmatch exaust systen ( stock cat ) , not the exaust they sell Thats why the 1 #'s are so low compared to stage 2 #'s , I think thats about what Dave said...
287.7 on Pruven's dyno. EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that I'm very happy with how the car drives, especially the width and "feel" of the powerband.

I'm in the same boat with the Buschur stage II (except I've got the fuel pump upgrade - I figure I'll need it later - and no cat), but I just figured that it's a difference in the type of dyno they're using a Buschur. Still, good guys, good products, no bs.
I've got essentially Buschur stage 1 with Dynoflash (no SAFC) and I put down 300whp/324tq on Dynapack and about 290h/310t on Mustang AWDdyno. I have been debating adding the intercooler pipes, but I think I'm just going to put on a whole new intercooler next year among other things. I'm very happy with where the car's at now, and it can definitely pull (0-60 in just under 4 seconds...).
It's really tough because you definitely can't compare #'s dyno to dyno. I guess the idea is to see how much your car improved from what stock does on your particular dyno. I do have to say that 343 seems quite high, but I'd say the #'s for stage one are about right, again depending on which dyno you use...

Stage I is pretty much dead on...you need 330 HP to pull a 3400 pound car to a 108 trap speed, and thats what they did. At 15% drive loss thats 281 at the wheels..Thats pretty dead on.
Stage II, however....you need 359 HP to pull that same car 111 MPH..at the same 15% drive loss thats only 305 Whp...That my friends is oppurtunistic advertising.
I would love David Buschur himself to explain this one. We are missing 38 whp. Dyno difference shouldnt matter here because im comparing between his own dyno numbers....
I do have to admit that i do like my setup....aesthetics and overall quality. Im just surprised that no one else has challenged this before?

I didnt get to dyno it stock...but i think thats where the problem lies, because his base numbers are also high...so i think his dyno is just off...in his favor.
To his credit my car did run 12.52 @ 110.7 mph...but that was on race gas and with peak boost and it tapers down to 21 psi...thats also what he did,but he says he did it on pump gas, ive heard otherwise.
