Question in 1/4 mile time differences...

Yesterday I ran a 12.8 with a 1.78 60' time for my first run. On my second run I had a 1.71 60' time BUT I missed 4th and still ran a 12.9. With the 1.71 60', any idea of what would my time have been if I did not miss 4th?

what mods do you have?
Injen Intake
Custom 3" Turboback
Hallman Evolution MBC
Walbro 255
ECU flash

Possibly a 12.7. You only ran .09 faster 60'. Won't make that huge of a difference.

it will help some. You'll get a better 1st gear start...if your clutch is slipping in other gears, you should notice a slight increase as well.

Every .1 in the sixty foot is worth .2-.25 in the quarter as long as driving holds the same between the two runs.

thats not always the case. I have hundreds of time slips that show .1 60' doesn't equal .2 on the big end.

It's a rule of thumb and an estimate that has to hold all other variables equal. I am sure we all have timeslips that can show otherwise. I race NHRA and IHRA and my car is very consistent (not the EVO). This holds true. Thanks.

Top of 3rd in the Evo is about 83mph @ 7000rpm's

So if your trapping around this in the 1/8 then yes.
