New best 1/4 mile

Hey All!
I finally figured out how to launch my darn car. The net result is the best 1/4 mile time I have ever had, and consistent 60ft times at 1.71.

12.46 @ 108 mph

1.71 60ft

I need to make a few more adjustments and then I am certain I will be averaging 1.6x 60ft times. Not bad for a car with a sun roof and a 260 pound driver

The only dumb moment was the fact that I showed up with a full tank of gas :/

I saw one other Evo out at PIR that night (Friday) and he was running high 11's with Race gas and 28psi. I was sticking to the 92 oct at 20psi.

See you all around!

rev it to around 55 hundred and let the clutch out a bit till you feel it grab. once the third light on the christmas tree lights up slip the clutch the rest of the way out and smash on the gas. car should shoot out like a rocket and you should smell no clutch. first gear is gonna go by real quick so be prepared to shift quickly....good luck

thanks James. I did that with my stock clutch a few times. Can I still do the same thing with the Stage 4 twin disk I have?

yup you can. as long as the restrictor pill is removed out of your clutch line it will make it a lot easier.. assuming you have a braided stainless steel line. just learn the friction point on your new clutch and have fun.. or to save the clutch just induce anti lag into the car.....if your worried about your stock turbo you can have mine..LOL! i wont be needing it soon. your mods should put you into the mid 12's with a proper launch and driving...if you ever come back to the darkside and drag race again.
