So I went to E.TOWN on a Stock 06 IX MR

So I was tolt I drove the **** out of this stock car. Here goes the times...
60'' 1.826
1/8 9.43
MPH 81.49
1/4 12.974
@ 104.35 MPH

Mow for the secomd time
60' 1.826
1/8 8.335
MPH 82.11
1/4 12.987
@ 105.78 MPH

These runs were driven hard but with Grampa shifts, matter of fact I should have had a 12.7XX if I worked on my launch more at maybe a 1.71 60'

No, you wouldn't drop .2s with just a .06 improvement in 60'. Regardless, good job taking that nice stock power and pulling some high 12s. We know the power is there, but it's just tough to pull a low 1.8 60' like that with the stock limiter connected. I only got a 1.92 on the stock 5k limiter when I was stock, thus the 13.17. You got me by .2s, but with only a .1s better 60'...the other .1s came from the extra 1-2mph, which would indicate an extra 10-20whp almost. I would love to get my hands on a stock IX and see what I could do...

the 12.9 and 105mph is very impressive.

I will be running the EVO 9 stock at the track in about one hour or so. I will be posting later on on the day. I am not expecting 12's at all but I will be happy with a low 13 or mid 13. Time will tell

i was always under the impression that generally speaking for every .1 u can work off ur 60' that equals about .2 in the 1/4. either way someone should be a nice guy and lend u their IX to see what u can get out of it.

I see people say that a lot, but it's not a linear situation. If you go from a 2.4 to a 2.2 to a 2.0 to a 1.8, then you will likely gain more on the 1/4 ET than the amount gained in 60', but after you get to 1.8, the additional gains from better 60's are diminishing. When I go from a 1.8 to a 1.7, the difference in ET is usually just the difference in 60'. It also depends on if your 60' includes tire spin, bogging, or clutch slipping. There are lots of factors, but in this case, since he's already doing a 1.82, which isn't bad, then a 1.7x likely wouldn't drop him all the way down to 12.7 from 12.97. I do believe that 12.7s are possible in this car with a great launch, though. I wish I could get the opportunity.

ya i understand what u mean with the 60'. see, i have never had cars that have had the potential of getting 1.7 60's, so i could always use this theory with my other cars.

go see how much they'll give u for that MR, and maybe u can get one of ur own and we wont have to wait! just playin, im sure thats probably not gonna happen!
