New Stock Turbo EVO Record -- Curt Brown

11.19 @ 124.3mph STOCK EVO 16g TURBO.
Curt Brown made a special appearance at National Trails Sunday Test-n-tune. Good weather but unfortunately had to battle strong headwind gust of up to 35-40mph. Officials said that most of the cars were trapping .4-.5 tenths less and about 5mph slower. Today was Curt's first shakedown passes with the [Garage_Defeat] Street-ported head and ross/eagle built bottom end. Curt wanted to bring the car out to break-in the new motor. Car feels much stronger than before and builds the same power at much less boost. Definitely maxing out the flow capabilities of the Evo 16g turbo. Will be seeing some more GD tuning in the next week. Stay tuned...

On our initial shakedown of our [GD] street ported head, we notice that the car made as much power at 17psi on Pump as we did last year at 24psi on C16. Amazing what gains can be made on a properly ported head even on stock turbo.

Congrats to Curt! He'll be in the 10's very soon.
I don't know how much Curt want's to devulge about his setup but he did switch to our EVO 8 intercooler core, Lower intercooler piping, along with an AMS spec'ed bottom end. With all these good parts and the ported head he has the driving skill to put that car into the 10's.

Wow a stock turbo EVO running 10s is just crazy. I don't think any stock turbo car without NOS has ever done this, not Supras, 300ZX, RX-7s, SRT-4s, 911 Turbos, I'm not sure on Skylines though.
