approx trap speed of 300whp evo?

anyone have the ballpark trap speed of a 300wheel hp evo?

it could be at 300hp by MBC, flash and exhaust, or Cams, exhaust and flash...

Would 110-112 be about right?

I had a 2003 cobra that trapped at 116mph and sort of mis that kind of power... but I don't want to dump $$$$$$$$$ into the Evo either....

thanks

Define $$$$$$$$$$$$$

300 whp is as easy as a TBE, MBC, and flash I would think on 93.

And I think 108 to 110 is a decent ballpark.

cams, flash and exhaust & intake = close to $2k (if i can find some used parts)
MBC, flash, intake & Exhaust = $1500 (with turbo boost guage).

I was hoping to get the ROMP that the mustang had.... doesn't sound like it though at 107-110mph..... 116 is a good bit faster.

No, but for 2 gs you can get to 116 or so. Besides, isn't it a lot more fun going around corners now?

i made 300 awhp and trapped 117, but that was 300 awhp on a dyno dynamics dyno.

I suppose I am a bit confused by these seemingly high traps for relatively low whp.

My car is equivalent to Buschur stage 2 and I trapped 106mph.
A friend that drives much better than I ran his Evo and trapped 108mph (dynoed at Switzer at 325whp.)

We were at 852 msl hot and humid. Dunno how greatly these variables affect traps.

That's because you don't have a wing.

300whp on a DYNOJET ONLY is capable of 110mph, but most people will only get 108 due to driving and/or track/weather conditions.

To get to this point on an 03:

TBE = $600 (Megan)
MBC = $85 (Hallman Pro)
Boost gauge = $100? (not sure, i didn't have to buy one)
Flash = $199 for mailin or $399 for custom (more likely to hit 300 with custom)

That's $1200 with no installation. For another $600, add cams (+$200 for install) and you're at $1800 or $2000 and pushing ~330-340 on 93oct, which is good for 113-114 with perfect driving. To get back to your Cobra's speed, you will need all of this and some alky injection for daily power or toss in race gas and crank the boost if you just want to hit 116mph at the track.
