Not bad. Hopefully you can break into the 14's with some more tune or boost.

any car with FWD is hard to launch and hook up out of the lights. Get some race fuel and hope for good top end.

w/ 100oct i pulled 102mph with a 14.0ET with a ****ty 2.4 60ft w/ my gti

How come Evo owners always act like that they're top dog. Our car is slow, so what.

Because we like it. You don't have to like what we like, why bother telling us what to do. This been discussed so many times, "why mod a base lancer" blah blah blah. SO get over with it.

Why do I have to get over it? This is EvolutionM.net, not Lancer.net or TurboLancer.net. You can do whatever you want; I don't care. I just asked if running 15s in the 1/4-mile was considered a good thing after all the time and money spent to turbo it. I then offered reasons why it doesn't make sense to waste all that time on such an ugly POS when you could just take a DSM and go way faster while still doing all your own work and having fun.

ugly POS?? umm ok.. now you're really reaching and going to far bro. i wouldnt call DSM's pretty cars either. And we are going faster and still doing our own work and having fun. copy??? if you are an evolved member you should know that this board used to be called Lancerforums.net but that has nothing to do with this. i dont even know why u brought that up... please dont be a tool.

You know Warrtalon, I usually think your posts are spot on, but you may be a little off base here.

I mean, sure, I agree. I won't bother to turbo my Ralliart, if I wanted a turbo Lancer (and I do!) then I'd buy an Evo.

But to bag on the guys who take these cars and make them kick a little more @$$ is pretty weak.

And yeah, I own a couple project DSMs... but really, an Eclipse isn't the same kind of car as a Lancer.

And uh, despite the "Evolution" in the title of the page, it is a Mitsubishi enthusiast site... so lets be a little more tolerant.

I guess I don't see the benefit of spending all the time and money to turbo-ize a base Lancer when a DSM costs about as much as the turbo kit, yet is faster with no mods.
to some people its about building horsepower and not buying it. the car is also much faster than that when its taken out of a drag racing environment. ive rolled with lightly modded evos from a roll with my setup.

No, I don't "copy." You aren't going anywhere near as fast as lightly-modded DSMs. I bought my '91 GS-T for 3k, then ran 12.58 on the stock turbo that had 130k miles. What could possibly be fun about taking a terribly ugly rental car, doing a ton of work to it, and then only being as fast as a stock 15-year-old DSM? It's baffling...

At first you might have been advising but now you are just being belligerent.

What does it matter to you anyway? That's all I want to know.

lol well you need to copy.... bro... understand not everyone wants to go to the track an do 9's. That isnt for everyone... we al know that the base lancer isnt the fastest car out.. so why are u saying something we already know... and a base lancer can run 12's

Exactly, if I wanted a car that run 12's easily, I should have bought one. But Lancer is for me.

He reminds me of old Sentinel .

Please lets go back to the topic.

Nice times.
Stiffen up your motor mounts, get an lsd and you'll see even more improvement.
Don't listen to Warrtalon. I think if I had a GG MR I would let evo go to my brain too.

I have seen this argued so many times. God, let it go!
