I saw your runs. Very impressive for the Lancer. I was the white EVO that put on an ok first run then struggle 2 remain runs.

You can now compete with stock IS300s. Is that good or bad for that level of modification?

The car runs 17plus seconds stock in manual form.

Yes, I know, but that's a lot of trouble to go through just to run 15s. I was asking if that result was satisfactory or not. I know that for me, it would not be, since my IS300 was slow as hell in stock form.

We have traction problems which is the major setback when it comes to this car. I am trying a few new things yet I am NA though.

Spyder have you done any suspension, motor mount or any other wheel hop mods? It's clear that your lowest 60 led to the best run you achieved but if you want to run 14's you'll need to get the 60 down to a 2.2.

what rpm were you launching at?

And don't forget Warralton, the IS300 is 215hp stock at the crank. We are 120. I believe the RRM stage one turbo kits puts out about 195whp. You can only run what you have to run.

Yeah, I know the IS300 has 215 to the crank, but that's very slow. I wouldn't want to spend all that time and money just to get up to 180-190whp is all. You can get any year turbo DSM with either drivetrain and go faster than that in stock form, and it costs very little. I guess I don't see the benefit of spending all the time and money to turbo-ize a base Lancer when a DSM costs about as much as the turbo kit, yet is faster with no mods.

I understand what you guys are saying but it's not only just breaking records that is on people's minds. I can't speak for spyder but the thrill of modding is just that for me. Making something faster that wasn't when I got it stock. My mechanic has told me that I might as well get a Civic and with a basic turbo be pushing 500hp but that's not the point of modding the Lancer for me anyway. Cost of that civic build I think he put at 4K.

Spyder there are a few reviews on the motor mounts out there but none much from racers. As soon as I get my stuff installed and have a chance to test it at the track I will write up a review if interested.

There is also another member testing the whiteline antilift kit which is specifically designed to prevent wheel hop. I hope he gives us a review once he has had a chance to test it. I think those are the two least cost ways to control wheel hop. Just adding some lowering springs did wonders for me but I want to go that next step.
