If you guys want it to die, stop posting in it. Stop trying to get the last 2 cents in.
I figure any thread that is still open is fair game to any newbie (to EVO's) that comes along. Especially one like me who actually uses the search function extensively.

i understand how there is controversy with imports vs american muscle but i mean i got respect for american cars. i hate your "typical" muscle guys who are arrogant but i mean stangs have been around for 40 years plus i used to own a 03 GT (not the fastest car) but honestly i beat the sh*t out of that thing and never had a single problem. either way i like both even

Cobras overrated? Depends on whose rating them. I have respect for the Cobra, personally I really like the Cobra R. I wouldnt mind owning a V8 Mustang in addition to my Evo. If I had to chose one or the other I chose the Evolution of course, but the Cobra is no slouch. Great car. One of the few "Great" cars built in the US.

There is always the option for you to ignore this post. It's fairly simple. It has the similiar affect that deleting an email you don't don't want to read from an email list. It seems like no one can ever find the delete button either.
There are at least two 700+ hp 03/04 Cobras in Colorado. Around 900+ ft/lbs or torque. I know at least one of them runs in the 10's, not sure on mph. 1.4-1.6 60' times, still IRS. Not sure what the mostly stock guys run. Don't know any that rund auto-x or open track, though I know there are some that various years of the Cobra that do. I think there is at least one (pre 03 I believe) signed up for this weekend.
