Like I have said before.... the Evo is the GREATEST car choice for what I can afford. It does everything excellent compaired to cars that cost 50k (minus the interior). Now if I could afford the Z06, it would definatly be my choice car. Also imagine the Vette with a 100 or 150 shot + Drag radials.......... Or try to hang with it from a roll when you see one on the highway... Nastyness

Good run man....I was the TT 350z running that night......I was hoping to line up with the z06....but due to my major traction problems I glad you did....nice run...and your a cool guy def gave me a new respect for evos....Lets meet up sometime and make a vid....

Woot good show. The problem they are going to have is traction. With 121 he should have been running mid 11s. Gotta love that 1-2 bog resulting is crappy trap speeds. The trick is to slightly power shift so you don't fall off too badly. Also higher revs would help on the 1-2 as well. You need to get that rev limiter up. I set mine at 8600 and launch off the two step at 6500 and it seems to work perfect.

tomig.. you will LOVE the 109 tune.. shiv just put me on this stuff and its like liquid COCAINE. the car runs so much better.. I.E. loved his 109 tune as well. With a 109 tune you will prolly be around 450 on the dd. thats pretty damn strong.. 525 whp prolly.
Plus.. you need some of the new xede features... NO lift shift, and launch control.. you have a decent chance at SUPER low 11s all day long. Oh and you need the limiter raised as well.

I'm not saying that the Evo is a better car , I'm just repeating the numbers that C&D had . . . and they had both the EVO & STi quicker to 30 and running dead even at 40. You can debate drivers, tires, etc. all day long. But, the magazine that some of you guys actually respect a little (as opposed to R&T), had reviews in the same issue and the numbers speak for themselves.
...as do the numbers from 40mph on...and the Z with the weight and power advantage that you mentioned comes on strong and whoops all over them.
The Z would annihilate those cars on a road course. But having AWD for the launch will give an evo a fighting chance in a drag race.
