He could actually ended smoking you for real. If you don't have experience launching you car and he does then I think he might win.
The SRT-4 are fast and there are a few drivers that can launch, the guy is running DR and with his mods he probably has higher trap speeds.
You should borrow a MBC from one of your friends, discconet the 5k rev limiter, lightened the car a bit and put some 100oct then you should be fine.
Remember, fold the mirrors , remove the floor mats and spare jack and tire, have your tires inflated properly and take your car to the track with almost no gas.
My tips would reduce you near 100pounds of weight or more.

I used to own an 04 SRT4 that was modded to that extent or maybe more....If the guy can launch and hook up real good he can probably run you down halfway down the track. My best and only run down the track was a 13.8 @ 106.55 MPH...., 2.2 60' time

The boost gauge can be install in about 30 minutes max, you should go and get a boost gauge from any local shop(pep boys, autozone) or any import shop or even a friend of yours, it takes virtually no time to install then.
You don't have to fully install, ask any good friend to let you use the boost gauge just to tune/dial your MBC, that is it.
Man, I wish I was there so I could hook you up. A MBC and gas would save your a$$ for sure, stock for stock if he knows how to launch and you don't then I think he will win but not for much.
People from Cali that lives around you should read this message and hook you up.

I went toe to toe with Travis, we were dead even from a roll but that was when I use to run 12.7-12.8.
Travis has purchased another SRT-4 and this time is much lighter. Last time Travis or his friend destroyed his engine racing a Cobra that runs 11.1@127 at SIR, unfortunately he threw a rod and some of the oil in the engine catch on fire.
Anyway, let me know if you are racing Travis(area51 turbo), if you are, I suggest you don't waste your time, you have no chance, that guy is a very fast shifter and launcher and goes to the track many times and race in the strets all the times as well.

the way u stand now ur good with the filter , he might be faster in the traps , ur chance lives and dies in ur launch disconect ur 5k rev limiter rev it around 6k and let it rip, oh and race gas is a definate advantage ,it will alow the ecu to keep full timing in the motor ,which of course is power
Sorry to say this bro but..... you will loose. I did on a lightly modded SRT4, but then again you have an 05 and they say that 05's are stronger than the 03's but I dont know by how much. Anyway, just think of it this way you didnt buy an EVO just for the straight line performance, and this is what the SRT is good for a straight line. And besides evo's looks nice SRT are ugly hahaha... well thats just me. Good luck I hope you win cause I dont like the evo getting beat.

Well if you go to the last post he said he wants to know who you are and that he wants a crack at you!! hahahaha...wow, he actually thinks he can hang with you...lol. But anyways, he is also the same guy who raced Tony (silver Z06) and the srt got owned.
Who do you think could hook it up with that stuff for just the race?

be careful... my friend has a similarly modded srt4 except he has his tuned with an safc... and if we go from a roll i only beat him by like two cars... and im putting down 350whp. I destroy him from a launch, but if u dont launch perfect there is a good chance u might lose especially if he has drag radials. But if u beat his C*cky *** id rub it in his face as much as i could... i hate a$$holes. Good luck and work on ur launch and you should be ok.

When I had my SRT4 I ran against a 333 WHP 03 EVO from a roll on the 6000' X 300' abandoned airport runway and in the first run I was able to take him and pull him....
but somehow after that, my car wasnt boosting right and he smoked me.
with my 380 AWHP, I wonder how much more I can beat that SRT4 by?

Listen, I don't bragg, I don't rev my engine ever and I don't take off fast from the car meetings but I nicely invite and challenge Tucson guys to the track.
I remember the Guy with the Yellow Mustang, yes, we raced both times and he was nice to admit the lost. Tony challenged me already and I am accepting, Tony and me are absolutely toe to toe as we speak but that is just on paper.
Tony has not lost a single one from a roll, his Z06 cammed and modded sweeps the competition away in all the videos we have seen in americanmusclecars so far.
Keep it as a secret but I have the 4 mods I mention on the botton of my signature and they are not install yet, Al is coming to do my tunning again then I will see face to face Tony and your "buddy" with the SRT-4.
Any idea how fast he runs on the SRT-4? I have seen Tony running the Z06 and I can tell you it is very very fast, so fast that he smoked me very well on my 05 BMW bike.
I have conections, I will find out quickly who the SRT-4 guys is and what he has.
Matthew, don't copy and paste this topic into americanmusclecar, I need to get my parts install first. Tony Z06 weights less and still has 100whp over me, lets wait until I am done.
