Good luck either way..

Matthew,

The one gallon is not going to do much at all on your car. If you put one gallon of 100oct to your 11gallon tank wouldn't do any good (insignificant).

I already determine that you don't want to win, you are just going for the run, if so just do it stock and be prepared for the next time.

The 100oct gas only does any good if you crank the boost up and you maintain the mixture on the higher octane rate(more 100oct than 91oct).

My girl will be there taking pictures. Let us know how it goes and please.

If you don't have anything to tune or a reflash then too much 100 oct may slow you down since the car runs too rich. Try to mix it good enough that get to about 93 oct which been proved to work good for car on the east.

I missed Tucson so much. I graduated there at U of A and spend most of my trouble teenager and after-teen there until I got my *ss together for an educate.

Wow. I guess I'm not as good at launching as I thought. But I'm just happy I got into the 13's.

And that srt never showed up!! All that trash talking for no reason.

Oh and there was a very nice WW IX RS there too. I saw him run twice, a 13.7 and 13.6. I didn't get to talk to him tho to see what he had but I'm guessing it was stock since it looked brand new.

Yeah....you need to work on your shifting and your launching. My EVO was trapping almost 80 mph in the 1/8 stock. I think my best E/T was a 8.6 when it was stock.

Sucks that the SRT didn't show, but with your times, I'd say it was good for you.

Matthew,

I am proud of you, at least you stood to the challenge, the other guy did not show up and don't worry that my reputable tongue will speak up at the car shows around AZ and AZ forums. I would personally let that guy know that he is a type of guy that can't put his actions were he speaks.

Lets move on to your runs. It does not surprise me that you ran what you ran, it is your first time at the track and you have to accept mediocre times to start with because you are racing at SIR. The 05 Evos with TB ,MBC and air filter run 13.2-13.7 at around 98-104MPH at SIR.

It is too late to mentione now but I talked to a couple of people and I predicted you would run between 13.8 and 14.2 at around 98-100 mph.

Your 60' times could be dropped to at least 1.8s and with some practice you should be able to drop it to 1.7s.

You have some advantage over some Evos, your springs are low, I have sen your car and looks really low, they are hotchkins right?

Did Bill run his Bullit?, any other guys from Sonoranmusclecars making remarkable times? Trevor ran freakin 10.9@133 on Friday with his new Methanol kit.

Mathew,

Even on your last run missing 4th gear, the damage was already done, your 1/8 mile speed was very low and your time very high..

3) 60'....2.020
1/8....9.240
MPH...72.00
1/4....14.427
MPH...97.03 *missed 4th*

Anyway, I would like to invite you to have your car custom tune by Al(Dynoflash), this would be a great oportunity for you to get your car running safe and fast. PM

Hey thanks man. Yeah I wanted to run a 4th time but it was too crowded.

But about the tune, I think I'm going to go with Vinshu. What do you think about them?

You might want to call the boys at Tuning Technologies in southern cal. they now how to make the evo's run awesome. Also not to be hater but your lucky the srt did not show up, with his mods he would have owned you bad on 2 out 3 runs and on you 13.9 I think you would have gotten beat by .5 that of course is if the other driver was average or better.

No not really. I talked to one of my friends who is a tech at that track and he said he has never seen that guy break a 14.00. Granted he's trapping at around 100, but still.

i am not sure about the srt's numbers. its not an easy car to run, plus, if track prep sucks, he doesnt stand a chance. a 13.9 isnt a great run for an evo, so odds are that if the evo couldnt hook right (and a 1.9 or 2.2 isnt hooking right) there is NO way that the srt would have been even close, unless of course he was on slicks/good driver w/ dragradials. however, that would make his trapspeeds slower, which would make it just as close. im bummed, it would have been good to see the race. too bad i wasnt there, i would love to open my car up next to an evo, havent done that yet. subys yes, eclipse done it, but no evo

TEXSRT-4,

I just want to jump into the conversation to make one thing clear, a Evo bone stock has hard time getting a 13.8 at SIR, it is not me saying it but it is proven statisticly.

I have to say Matthew did well considering his lack of experience at the track, lack of mods and track conditions. Perhaps a 13.8 is a shame at Cecil raceway or MIR raceway but here at Tucson is no where close to a bad times.

Most of the STIs I have seen at SIR with minimal mods run identical times.

my .2c
