modded srt vs me *updated*

Well this Saturday I will be running a lightly modded srt4 at the track. He is talking SO much trash like how his fwd with DR's is gonna totally own my awd. All he has is a wastegate acuator, t-back exhaust and a different FMIC. I have no idea what he runs, and I have never ran my car at the track yet either. So I'm kinda nervous....should I be? BTW I'm totally stock except for a k&n. I'm gonna put some 100 oct in it and chill my interooler. Anything else I can do to give me a better edge other than out driving him? Keep in mind that this is happening in 2 days, so it's not like I can buy a whole bunch of modds and install it in time.

one tip, dont bother with the 100 oct gas. if anything, it will actually slow you down some. stick with 93

If you cant get 93, just mix in some 100, but dont fill it

If you are comfortable launching, I think you'll be ok. If not, practice a bit before the track.

Let us know how you do.

Best thing to do is learn to launch, and I dont know about the k&n without a tune. Just so you know, with the mods I have minus the Dynoflash, my first time at the track, I ran a best of 14.16 @ 99mph, with a 2.100 60' dumping the clutch. After a self-tune with an LM-1, I ran a 13.13 @ 105.46 w/ a 1.899 60'. Still not good at all, but it shows how mods are nothing w/o a tune.

Oh....I can't get 93 so I'll just mix 100 with 91. I am actually pretty good with launching, but if he gets dr's...idk. He might catch me. And this guy is COCKY as hell too.

The K & N filter is fine. You don't need a tune for it.
