Whatever the variable may be, something is definitely not adding up with the comments hova has made.

Also, if he was shifting at 8,000rpms, he is not in the most beneficial rpm for power. Anybody who knows anything about drag racing knows the logic behind this point.
i dont think he s shifting @ 8000, i think he meant that he finishes the 1/4 in 4th and he s around 8000 rpm

to shut all u guys up once and for all, me and Most-wanted are goign to race this month, once are cars are ready ( him getting a higher rev limiter, and me a reflash)
and hopefully we ll both runs 11's on pump gas ( most wanted tuns 12.0 bouncing off the stock rev limiter), Hova00 wont have to take that crap from u guys anymore, so many people are in denial here it s nto even funny anymore.

Hova00 congrats and great runs again!

Why do you dodge the questions that people are asking you? That in itself looks suspicious.

Please explain, because it sounds like you were saying you shifted at 8,000 rpms in every gear or did you mean just in 4th gear?

Either way, it is a very impressive time what ever the case may be. Congrats!

Hova00: Where are you located? Wilmington, DE? If so, I'm assuming that you ran that time at Cecil County, MD... That would certainly explain why your times are slightly faster than what people would expect.

Cecil County is a notoriously fast drag strip. People consistantly run faster times at that strip than at any other strip in the mid-atlantic/northeast area. I've heard several different claims as to why it seems so much faster than every other strip - low elevation, not quite 1/4mi in length, slight downward slope on the strip, shadey timing, magic, etc. Whatever the real cause is, cars do run unusually fast there.

Regardless, that does not take anything away from your very impressive times. Cecil County is an NHRA certified drag strip, and your times certainly sound legit.

Can we please see the 11 sec run video...Im not really a doubting person but 11.9 @ 116 on 93 PUMP GAS is just little hard to believe. I went to the track once in my life time and ran 12.7 @ 108 with 1.8 60ft. This was on 93 mixed with 117 race gas on Hot humid August day. But your claim 11.9 @ 116 on pump gas makes me want to hang myself.

oh yeah my mods are mail-in flash turboback (no cat ) intake walbro

Anywayz Great run

Thats actually not true. Superhatch made 355whp on TT's dyno and ran a best of 11.9@116. He had 100octane in the tank however he was on the 93 map of his Xede.

Less rubber on the track (more importantly the glue) = less rolling resistance = higher trap speed assuming that traction off the line isn't really an issue.

Also, a IX that ran 12.0 couldn't get over 112mph with the stock rev limiter (7600) either. There's no way that 50rpm gives 4mph, nor is there any way that 400rpm gives 8mph. This math is severely flawed in terms of trap speeds.
My totally bone stock 9 with 700 miles on it was indicating 60mph @ 4k rpm in 4th. That gives you an indicated 116mph @ around 7733rpm.

Maybe the snow tires were a lot taller than the stock size tires

Trap speeds are not the same as actual speed in gear. Trap speeds are an average speed between 2 boxes, so you can't go by actual speeds in gear on the highway.

I drive an Evo 9 and the best I could get on 93 pump gas was 12.25 @ 111mph boost was at 23psi with a 1.70 60ft. Then on a seperate run I put 100 octane in and turned the boost up to 27psi I cracked out a 1.72 60ft and ran an 11.93 @ 115mph. The car just would not run in the 11s without the higher octane fuel. And I am a damn good driver. I Just cant see it happening. I run my car at 25 feet above sealevel So I know I was getting even more help there, and the temp outside was 65 degrees. I dont know man but thats cool if you did. But like I said 93 octane and 23psi was not cutting it.
