eg6 civic hb h22a vs. evo8
hey wassup guys, i wanted to know what are my chances in racing this guy with a eg6 civic hatchback with a h22a swap... that car has simple bolt ons like cat back exhaust, intake, and a stage 3 clutch with lightweight flywheel.
my car i have is a 03 evo 8 and all i have for mods... just an intake.. stock everything.
what are my chances?

yea last night he raced my brothers ej1 b16a turbo... and my brother lost to him... found out that my brothers car's wastegate spring was a small yellow spring set at 3.63 psi.. ;x my lil brother thought he was running 7 psi since the day he got that turbo installed.
anyways, h22a hatch ate up my brother b16a w/ 4psi boost
i just wanted to run this foo with that hatch, he really erkz me i hate him.. too cocky for my class.

i used to have an h22a in a 93 accord...all bolt ons...and i was running 14.6-14.7.....so considering the weight difference the hatch shall be faster.....but you should win considering evos are in the 13s..

I raced a h22 hatch on friday at the track. He had header, exhaust and intake. I missed second gear and still beat him by almost a full second. Im stock except a cat-back. Dont know how much the nitrous is helping him but I think you will have him.

Friend of mine has a eg6 w/h22a swap... went from 40-120 with me up bout 4 carsand widening the gap. His mods at the time were intake, headers, exhaust and mugen flash.
I was stock dp, drop in-filter, catback, mbc @ the time ... This was about 6 months ago ...
I have since gotten 280 cams, ecu+, a full tbe exhaust and rally cat ... Roll or out the hole its a no contest now ...
I think you should be fine ..

well i just found this out today from my brother... i was kinda confused for a moment but yea that h22a hatch does have nos already installed. but that guy is thinking about selling his nos kit and go hondata.. lol.
i dont know why he is going with that, its pointless to have hondata with that car... its just stock with bolt-ons.
either or.. im going to race this guy, he called me out so I'm gonna settle it out on the track.
that night when he raced my brother he unhooked his nos tank and his solenoid. ill make sure he takes that off before i do it

if those are the only mods on the h22 hatch, you have a very good chance. but if he has more like headwork, cams, ecu (hondata). or if he's making 200+ whp, he can beat you... i know of one with 203whp running 13.5 with street tires and 12.6 with slicks
good luck!!!
