Finally made it to the Track, Thanks Buschur, AMS, RnR & Vivid

Everyone I finally made it to the track. For those of you that know me I usually don't get in a big hurry, my car has only made 5 passes down the strip with launching in its existance since new in May of 03. Needless to say I was very supprised at my times for someone who has never driven on a racetrack before owning this car. Be aware I took my car as I drive it everyday on the street, half tank of 91/93 mix fuel (alky injection), spare tire intact, full stereo with sub box and running 18" wheels with nitto 555 tires. I made no tuning changes at the track at all except for adjusting my 2 step to get better 60ft results.

Getting a decient 60ft and NOT flat shifting I ended up running 11.54 @ 119.36 while spiking 25.6 psi and running right at 25psi on my RnR GT3076 kit with a true .63 exhaust housing. I did this much easier than I ever imagined, I have self tuned (AEM) my car up to 28psi on alky injection so once I get my driving skills down there is more boost to come on the same setup and hopefully a faster time. After that Race fuel, if I can afford to tune and run with it.

I wanted to just say thanks to all the good vendors out there making this possible. I do run an array of parts but they are all from Buschur, AMS, RnR and Vivd Racing.

My time slip is below, I am sure it is possible for a professional driver and built motor to get into the 10s with a GT3076 but I am/have neither. I am running a complete stock long block. 25psi is med boost, 30 psi is what is possible on race fuel. Alot of people complain about the GT3076 not making power so I am just here to post that it does make power easily, I didn't push or drive the car that hard.

Slip as stated.

60ft = 1.725

330ft = 4.88

1/8th et = 7.50
1/8th mph = 94.06

1000 et = 9.76
1000 mph = 107.84

1/4th et = 11.54
1/4th mph = 119.36

Power Mod List,

Act Clutch / Pro Street Flywheel (Thanks ProStreet)
AEM EMS (3.5 bar , Speed Density, PLX wideband)
RnR GT3076 -15 turbo / .70 AR In / .63 AR out
RnR IC HardPipes (Tial 50mm BOV)
HKS 280in / 272ex cams / Fidanzia Gears
Pruven FPR
FIC 850cc injectors
SMC Alky (M10 nozzle)
AMS FMIC
Buschur TBE
Walbro 255

As for dyno, I have only had it on a dyno lately. As for spoolup I do most of my test and tuning in 3rd and I usually reach full spool (22-23psi) by like 4100-4200. I would have to look but I posted some logs of that on here somewhere. 4th gear was right at 4k or a tad under I believe.

3rd gear log image via AEM.

Re-read his original post. He already stated how conservative he was running.

Odviously with race gas + alky, 30 psi is obtainable, and may even break 10's. Right now he is only running 25 psi, which puts him right where he should be.
