Let's all laugh at my timeslip!!!

Well, tonight would be the first time I have taken my Evo to the track and raced it.

To start, the tree was screwed up. Instead of the light going down in a continuous fashion they jumped from the staging light all the way to the green light. My light never even lit up. You can tell something was up since both of our R/T's were horrid.

Secondly, I bogged the crap out my launch. So basically, it boils down to crappy driver with crappy times.

My second race went AWESOME!! I raced a 12-second (according to him) Z-28 and I was about 1 second behind. Unfortunately the times weren't reading anymore because they were doing some "street racing" midnight madness crap. So I'm guessing probably mid to high 13's which isn't too bad for the first time ever racing the Evo. I will be going back to see if I can improve on these times!!

No way you ran 83mph unless you let off at the 1/8th-mile. I don't think it's even possible to run that slow in a IX unless it's broken. IXs hit 83mph in the 1/8th...

He probably just let off after he realized that the run was that terrible.

Wow, just wow. You could have kept this one to your self, that is one of the worst time slips I've ever seen, wow. But keep at it, you'll get better, I wasn't the happiest my first time too (13.6@102.7mph) but I'm keeping at it and getting better.

LOL, I wish I could run an 11.5 with a stock MR!!!

Yeah, the whole race sucked right from the start. With a busted tree, bogging the crap out of the launch and watching the 11 second Camaro tear *** up the strip I gave up right around the beggining of 3rd gear.

The next race I was actually prepared for and didn't lose by much to a 12 second Z-28. I took him from the line and he started to pull away a little bit by 3rd. I was pretty mad that I couldn't get a timeslip for that one. But I'm gonna try again next week so I can get a timeslip worth showing. It was so busy last night that I only got in a total of 3 races.

It was a bad night for more than me. My buddy in a GTO ran a 14.5, and a 14.7!! The week before he ran a 13.1!!

It's called a Pro Tree. After you get use to it youll never want to go back to the standard tree it just seemd to tak for ever and i almost always redlight.

My best reaction time ever on a pro tree was .003 that same night some guy in a nova hit .000

I dont see how that is possible even letting off. I ran a 13.9 @76 after missing 3rd gear around the 1/8th.

You must of majorly bogged your car for a good 3 or so seconds.

Just so you don't worry about the tree to much, Reaction Time means nothing. Just focus on the launch
