Ok guys, by the end of last year great controversy arised when a moded Scion TC challenged a stock RA. Opinions were divided in who would emerge with the victory, (i had my money in the RA), and in the end it was the lancer (even when tere still some controversy about it) who got the victory.

Now my friends another challenge. One that i think will be hard to beat. Yesterday y took my car for the first time to the track and was challenged by a 06' civic SI. The match is scheduled for tonight (in the track) I know the Si have almost 40 more HP than the RA but i know the driver and he is a really bad driver anyway would like to hear your comments about this and wish me luck.

 

the SI also has 30 lbs torque LESS than the ra.

Horsepower wins dyno competitions, Torque wins races.

 

Its actually 20 less lbs of torque but im also counting in that to win

1/4 mile or 1/8 mile? If it's the 1/8 mile you should take him in the 1/4 it'll be pretty close i think.

 

you'd beat him through the first two gears, after that they are faster.

it again would be a close call and all within miliseconds of each other if they both launch good and find all the gears.

Is the ralliart stock?
Is the civic si stock?
Is it a 1/8th track?
Is it a 1/4th track?

PR is hot, what the condition gonna be like?

Ralliart: 162HP / 162 TRQ
Civic Si: 197HP / 139 TRQ

The key is all in the launch, but I don't think a stock ralliart can take a stock si. If he is an unexperince driver like you say and your a experince driver than it should be close or you should just edge him out. How is your shifting and where do you shif at in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th?

P.S. Mods, don't move this thread, last couple of threads you move to other cars, for what purpose? It has to do with the ralliart.

what are they in SI?

in any case stock on stock RA should be able to hit 90mp/hr trap....4th gear flat out...
dont think the SI Vtrec can keep with it due to Vtec kicking at late 6200+ rpm...where RA Mives kicks at 3500rpm and then again at 6500rpm....

1/4 mile is to short of a distance for SI to beat the RA...

you will pull away 1-2-3 gears and then in 4th gear SI might gain a little but still loose

 

Ok guys first of all both cars r bone stock and yes the other guy is a lousy driver
The match will be 1/4 mile and the night will be very humid. I hope i have a good launch if i do he wont be able to catch me. Because the car is totally stock im shiftiing at 6200-6300 keeping the gear besides that will give me nothing and he might catch me.

sorry to bring this thread back, but I was wondering what happend to this race, this had to take place like 10 days ago right? I was the stock RA that raced the modded TC and beat it. He just finished his full exhaust and I'm still stomping his AZZ. anyways, I was just wondering who won b/t the RA and SI?
