try lowering your tire pressure. how much boost are you building on the revlimiter?

what kind of tires are you on?

you've got two directions to go... either more traction, or less power.

It really depends on how much traction your tires have, your suspension, etc...

I have launched mine really low with a long slip (5k) with around 7psi off the line which worked ok but sometimes I would get wheelhop and my clutch HATED it. Last time out I was doing 5500 which was still too low. Next time out I will start with a 6k.

I have street tires set at around 23 psi all around. (I normally cut high 1.6s or low 1.7s)

Anything below 6500 bogs for me. I have even tried 6300 and it still bogged. I use to slip the crap out of my clutch, but that results in (1.8+) 60 foot times. It is better to slip slightly and then dump. I rely on a good track prep to get traction. Last time I was down in Phoenix at Speedworld, they had the worst track prep ever and I ice skated off the line getting 1.9-2.0 60 foot times. I got one pass in the (good) lane and hit 1.78 or so, but I have hit as low as 1.63 on a well prepped track under the same launching conditions.
