Your car has a built in rev limiter while in first gear. It is certainly not launch control or a factory two step. It is a safety feature you will find on almost all new cars so you can't tear up the trany/clutch etc. But to make all of you feel better call it launch control. The problem is for drag racing on the stock clutch with a stock to lightly modded evo 5k is not enough rpm for a good to great launch. Search on how to unhook the rev limiter and then launch the car like it is capable. I recommend between 6000-6800 depending on the tires you have and your hp. Remember to plug the rev limiter back in after your done drag racing or you rpms will fall super slow while shifting. Lastly talk to the guys at the track who run good and have it figured out. They can be a huge help. See ya at the so cal tracks.
