Trust me, you don't need launch control. Just rev the thing a little higher and fast slip the clutch. I rev between 5500-6500rpm. I've done it many many times and usually it will spin the tires a little and take off. I could pull easy 1.7 60' times every time on a near stock Evo.
When all I had on my '03 Evo was a tbe, mbc, base mail-in Dynoflash, K&N drop-in I ran 12.7
I also lauch that way at autox's. My stock clutch with the stock clutch line and restrictor pill still in lasted 24,000 miles and 2.5 years.
