1/4 mile Peak Boost Through Gears

I street set my boost to hit 28psi with my MBC in 3rd gear and make full boost on the street around 4000 rpms- well with the MR 6 speed I enter in the next gear between 5100-5400 rpms by shifting at around 7400 but my datalogger only reads that im making about 24.5 psi in each gear but holding till 23 to redline- Dont forget im running stock like turbo (IX 20g)- should i be hitting higher boost in the gears or am i shifting into its inefficiency range-- others that run meth or race gas please share experiances

Think about it. YOu hit peak boost at 4000rpm, but by 5500rpm, which is where you enter the next gear, you've already seen 1500rpm worth of taper. You'll never see as much peak boost running down the 1/4 as you will in a low rpm roll-on to boost, because it spikes and is at its highest point.

I see 26.5psi peak on the MAP sensor when dyno'ing in 3rd or when doing 3rd gear pulls on the road, but on the drag strip, I don't even see 25 in 4th...
