Yea... I kept running 13.3's in my 2003 EVO that had exhaust, cams, gears, etc. It made very good dyno whp, similar to other Evo's with identical mods on identical dyno. But I couldn't drive it for crap so low 13's was all I could muster with my clutch.

Slow shifting and wrong shift points definitely have an effect on trap speed, but launches don't usually affect them as much. His shift points were good based on what he claimed, but there's no way to know how fast he shifts...
There's some rumors floating around that ladder production IX's have been somewhat crippled from the factory with lower boost settings. I know my IX made terrible dyno numbers (for whatever reasons), really disappointing me. After a tune though, power is inline with other IXs...just food for thought.

my dealer let me take one home over the weekend (thought I was gonna buy then) and at the time I ran my Friends Stock '05 Vette from a Roll, and was DEAD Even with him from 20 to 80, NOW same race I'm ~1-2 car lengths behind in the SAME Exact Race.......this weekend boost gauge goes in, and Mid September I'm headed up to Conneticut for a Dynoflash.....

My IX is pretty strong in my opinion, stock it puts 2 cars on 350Zs and was neck to neck with Camaro SS until 100mph (SS pulled a car). I had the chance race another IX at the strip (bought in July) and we were neck and neck in two races, with very similiar R/Ts and 60fts. So lets not jump on a conspiracy theory so quick.

My first time out I was slow as h*ll to. It was something like a 13.8 at 101. 30 passes later (still stock) my best was a 1.801 60ft, with a 13.05 at 107, on no lift shifts
and that was only when I didn't get the 7k lock-out. My average is in 13.4's at around 104. 34 passes on the car so far, still on the stock clutch
(she's almost done) and 3100 miles on it.
If I didn't get 7k lock-out 98% of the time I think I may have run the 12's by now
You need to shift that car like you stole it, I have had people tell me that my car sounded like an automatic going down the track

****update***
Well, I installed the Boost gauge today (Great Quality Autometer 30-0-30) and during Testing My MAXIMUM Boost is 18.5PSI..tapering to 14/15 by the 7K rpm shift points...Theres some Horsepower for sure as I Belive it's Supposed to be 20.3 Tapering to 17/18 at the shifts...
...And VWJEFF, Thanks..but at LEAST your First time out was a 101something, thats STILL at least 20 HORSEPOWER More than my Dismal 99.80!!! THAT is in fact why I REALLY hit the Panick Button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
