Evo's first time to the track

Well, I am actually pretty happy, I'm not new to drag racing at the track, but it's my first awd

first run, first time to track in 2 years... bogged. I have an 05 with the factory 5k launch limiter... only mod is a Mbc 21.5psi and the spare tire out.

2.19 60'!!! Ack! I did better than that with my FWD celica...

a couple runs later I had it down to 1.9xx every time, I really wanna change that limiter to 5500 or 6000 and cut down on the clutch slipping

best et was 13.42, I did 5 runs at 13.4x

best 60' was 1.942, best mph was 105.7, also had 104x and 103x

I need to get that steel clutch line, not matter how quick I stab the clutch or try to slow the shift, can't get 2nd gear good... I removed the restrictor but I think the rubber line is causing trouble....

my mph might be good for quicker runs, with the clutch line, I think .2 was wasted shifting/grinding 2nd

Next mod: clutch line and bg syncroshift.... what do you guys think?

Not too bad Liqquid. I'd just concentrate on your 60's. With a 1.7 - 1.8 you'll be low 13's for sure.

Good luck.

Thanks, I think I am going to order that clutch line, some bg fluid and maybe the bronze shift bushings (for the tranny end, not the shifter end) for a start... I was going to do exhaust next, but the way it looks is I might be better off doing this first, anything else you guys could think of or will that cover my second gear issues you think?

Edit: anyone have the SS clutch line from lancershop? It doesn't say the "brand" but at like 28 bucks it looks like a good deal.

it's in the slave cylinder, where the clutch line terminates, it sits inside there between the clutch line and the bleeder screw.....
search, there's pics on there somewhere... look for installing the ss clutch line

I've ordered the clutch line and 3 bottles of bg syncroshift one, I know the 2 is synthetic... but it seemed the 1 was what supposedly will help with the grinding problem?

I'm gonna wait on the brass shift bushings, seems there may be a valid arguement about them possible causing premature syncro wear
