New best with cams
Just made my first trip to the track (Capitol) after my cams (HKS 264/272) and new tune. Besides the cams, my only other mods are:
MBC at 21 psi, Walbro 255, Exedy twin HD, Dynoflash.
Exhaust is "almost" stock -test pipe with stock downpipe and stock catback
This was my best pass:
unfortunately, it came with my worst 60' of the night (first time using launch control)
60'......1.851
330'.....5.281
1/8......8.124
MPH....84.48
1000...10.571
1/4......12.633
MPH.....109.73
My best 60' of the night was 1.767. If could have reproduced that here, I could have been in the 12.40's.
MPH is only 1.5 mph higher than my previous best, which I got with stock cams and stock cat. However, that occurred at Cecil County (better air) and I was running with race gas and cranked boost.
I'm hoping that with race gas, good air and ~25 psi, I can hit 112+ mph

Well you've got some low 12's in it if you can get the launch down. Why dont you have a full exhaust yet? It would make a huge difference with your mods. Work on your 60's get an exhaust and shoot for 11's
He's trying to avoid the po-po and all that hassle. However, the test pipe alone has shown to give great gains without the noise, so it's not a bad trade-off for only spending $90 or so while looking stock.

I'm considering adding a 3" downpipe to my current exhaust set-up -but not if its going to make things louder. If the DP doesn't add noise, I was thinking of welding in a dump valve on the stock catback right before the stock muffler (for track use, since I don't mind being loud on the track). This'll give me a full 3" open exhaust with no muffler or cat on the track, and stock-like quietness otherwise.
