I know my shifting wasn't the best. After my first run I thought I was done for the day. Dave had the 2-step set at 6500 rpms. Basically all I did was spin of the line, made all kinds of transmission/clutch noises, wheel hopped, and shifted as fast as I could.
Well, I get back to the staging area and let the car cool for a bit. After letting it cool I get in it. And wouldn't you know it, I can't get it into gear. I thought I was done for the day. After messing with it, clutch in/out, trying to move the stick into gear w/out the car running I finally get 1st. I start the car and drive it around the parking area. It seemed fine. To make a long story short I was a little paranoid after that when taking it down the track. Every shift I was hoping it would go into gear. It only became a problem while I was at no speed or very slow speed. I had to fight with it just to get it into gear sometimes at slower speeds. Dave had mentioned why this happens and I can't remember what he said.

. I guess my dad didn't have the patience
.
clutch problem ^^^^^
the twin disks floater plates heat up & warp so they won't come off the flywheel posts or studs whatever you want to call them... (so when you step on the clutch it does not fully release the clutch) this happened to me last weekend i'm going to shave the floater disks down just a smidgeon to get mine to release i will let you guys know how this works..
btw i was told to do this by a local 9 second honda guy, or you can always buy a new clutch i guess.
